I have one 24v P7100. But I am not happy how it runs on WOT with no load. Under dyno load runs good but by it self not smooth. I had pump off three times but they can’t find nothing wrong with it. I have few other pumps so I will swap and check it out. Thanks Alex
Ive heard i will push oil out of my gear case breather if I install a p7100 on my 24v. Did you experience this and how did you fix it if so

How do you have those injector return lines setup? My factory rubber boots have dry rotted and I would like to setup something similar

I am not sure I will have to look it up, but what I remember I think it was Pin 6 12V+ Pin 7 Ground, Pin5 shut off, pin4 low idle

I don't know why they always idle funny.
No load on the flywheel, only precision fuel pump regulator, like one for generator set will idle smooth.
@@bebac2006 i still remember our old 7220 idling like that. Then again we replaced it because the fuel pump was going bad.

So is that 6 cylinders and 6.8 liters. I forget how to decode a JD engine.
Yes you are right this is first 6.8L came in to replace aging 5.9L still has many features as 5.9. But this is base for modern 6.8l Deere engines.
Is it posiboble to swap heads from a newer gen 6.8 like a 2 valve for a 4 valve

Hope you can help, I've been trying to locate fuel lines for my P Pump to my 24 valve conversion. Can you give me some leads where you got yours from?
I re bent factory tubing. Anything aftermarket is just too big so engine will surge. But if you want to buy them CPP Diesel sells them. I would bend factory ones just find round aluminum rod 1” in diameter and slowly straight stock ones the start bending. Even if it takes 6 days , probably will take that long to order and get custom ones anyway

Is that the same p pump like on a 4bt Cummins? Would the performance parts like the fuel pin and such from the 4bt work for that same pump?
Yes it is Cummins pump , mounting parts and timing gear are from 6.8 excavator engine that has inline pump, only p pump has bigger plungers and delivery valves so I had to order custom fuel injection lines.
Alex Nikolic where did you order your fuel lines from? Was there a notice in performance gains by doing the conversion? I’m putting a 4045 in my truck project so I’m looking for performance mods able to be done.
@@dustinrichards329 Sorry I did not see your comment, fuel lines I got from Fair Valley Performance, Shiver Diesel set the pump at 140hp. P pump is much more tolerable to todays fuel then Rotary pump.
Shiver diesel in Tifton Georgia? If so I'm in the Valdosta area and I'd like to see your engine i just got a great on a 4045t and would like to change the pump
